In addition to the paint sample wall I finally did something about the huge blank wall above my bed. Side note: large expanses of blank walls make me really nervous and I just do not like them. So I went to hobby lobby and scrap book paper was like 5 for a dollar or something crazy like that, so I got it even though I didn’t have a plan. I grabbed some of those round mirrored candle-votive-base-things too and headed home. En route to Clemson I remembered seeing some neat 3d metal stars in good ole HL and thought perfect-I can make those out of scrapbook paper. I looked up a pattern online and put them together and hung the mirrors with some white grosgrain ribbon and sooo no more scary empty wall!

A few weekends ago it was cold and I was stuck inside and it was the first weekend since the semester started that I didn’t have to go out of town or have anything to do. So I crafted/decorated. We’d been collecting paint samples for this project since Christmas break and we literally had over a hundred all in a shoe box. I always felt guilty for taking so many paint samples at once even though they’re free. My sweet roommate Nathalie and I finally decided it was time to use our paint samples. There was music and dancing and color coordinating. It was great. And I love our new wall art. I think we might trim it in moulding soon…
